The agricultural industry deserves to be recognized, and we’d like to say thanks! Join the Holmes Soil and Water Conservation District and USDA partners, Holmes County Farm Bureau and Farm Credit Services of Mid-America on Tuesday, March 13 at the Darb Snyder Senior Center, Glen Drive, Millersburg, from 7:30-9:00am for breakfast. Stop by to enjoy made to order omelets at no cost and visit with your friends and neighbors.
The event provides the sponsoring agencies a chance to offer a small thanks to farmers and those involved in the agriculture industry for their important contribution to our county and our country. Agriculture is an important part of Holmes County, generating more than $200 million in cash receipts. The county is ranked first in the production of oats, second in hay, third in cattle and calves, and third in milk cows. There are 1,969 farms in the county.
