Jason work at Tekton Engineering, specializing in land management and development. Him and his family operate a small commercial maple syrup farm in Glenmont. He loves all things conservation, and is excited to be running for a third term.

Barbara Lang
Barb and Loren Lang operate a 200 cow dairy in Ripley Township. She is on the board of American Dairy Association Mideast, Friends of Ohio Barns, and the Department of Farmland Preservation, Northeast Farmer Representative following in the footsteps of Lucille Hastings. They own 287 acres of preserved farmland with an additional 60 pending. Permanent preservation of open spaces and natural areas is of critical importance to her. She established the first Agricultural Security Area in Holmes County and plans to place all of their land in a conservation easement. In 19 years the farm will be in the family 100 years. At that point, she will enroll their fourth-generation farm in Ohio's Historic Family Farm program. She enjoys educating the public on various programs that ensure that land will remain in agriculture in perpetuity.

Jason Shumaker
Jason has served two-terms on the Holmes Soil & Water board of supervisors. He shares a family operation farming 300 acres and tending a cow/calf beef herd in Ripley Township. Nearly all of the acres are managed as no-till with extensive use of cover crops. He works off the farm at Lowe & Young in Wooster. One of the things that attracted him to the role of supervisor is keeping the farm community involved and informed.
